On Saturday Annika celebrated in the Chinese New year with her fellow kindergarten classmates at Bethel University. Amazing event! They had her practicing for a couple months before hand. Annika had the routine spot on perfect and was so proud.
To say this was a fabulous trip is an understatement. Neither of us had been to Mexico(well, deep into Mexico), much less at a place as awesome as the Sun Palace right on the beach. To be able to wake and see the sun rising over the ocean from our room, to relaxing on the beach all day with friends, to enjoying the fantastic food was a treat. We went snorkeling, took some jet skis out the another day, whopped up at beach volleyball and even did some karaoke. Good times!!!
Beth and I have taken a few vacations since the kids have been born, but I think this is the first one we haven’t at least had one of them with. Having a great and relaxing time. We have gone to some incredible beaches, had some great food, and good times with friends!
I came upstairs to make some lunch today and saw this…obviously the first thought to enter my mind was “grab a camera!!”. I asked her what she was up to and she said she was pretending to go to the science fair. I think it’s high time I took her to the science museum 🙂
Who would have known, but grandpa Watrud is the craft master! First day down in Arizona.
Here is Annika at her preschool recital on valentines day. Also checking out how well this WordPress iPad app works 🙂
#2 is on the way! They tell us it’s going to be a boy. The ultrasound lady said 99% sure, so Beth still won’t admit it…but 99% is good enough for this guy. Annika is really excited…she found out that baby’s eat through the umbilical cord(their belly button), so she has been feeding smarties into mommy’s belly button for the baby. They are saying we can expect the little one some time around September 20th 🙂
Man Oh Man, has it been a while! A lot has changed, Dada has slowed down for traveling for work, Mom quit her job and went with Dada to Australia! And now Mom is enjoying being home with little Annika. I now feel like I have 2 days in one! A little over a year and a half and man does she tire me out! Every night I pray for all the blessings and that’s all that matters now. All the words she knows, my favorites “Butterfly” and “Breakable”..all the things she can do at the park, with no fear! Her love of being outside, going for walks, playing with friends and being a cute little bub!
